It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Henry Goode of South, Virginia, born in Chester, Virginia, who passed away on July 4, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry L. Goode and Ruth Coles Goode; his wife Shirley Shands Goode; his daughter Sybil B. Goode; and his brother Clarence Goode (Marva Cherry Eubanks).
He is survived by: his children, Kenneth Goode (Myrtle) of Richmond, Shena Goode of Petersburg, Kelvin Goode of Chesterfield and Minister Sandra Tucker (Lloyd) of South Chesterfield; his grandchildren, Sharanda Drakeford (David), Shelita Goode, Kenard Goode, Shyanne Tall and Varnell Tall, Jr.; his great grandchildren, Sharniece, Shunita, Yvette, Egypt Drakeford and Lavon Goode; his stepdaughter Tara Bell; his sister Ruth Monton of Hampton; his sister-in-law Louvina Hudgins (Oscar); and his goddaughters, Krystal Walker and Jennifer Massenburg. He is also survived by loving nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
