He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Carlson Cockman, Sr. and Dorothy Louise Moore; his wife Reba Lane Cockman; and his brothers, Joe Cockman, Jr. and Steve Cockman.
He is survived by: his daughters, Deborah Lynn Iacobucci (Mark) and Melissa Curtis (Cornelius); and his brother Gary Cockman. He is also survived by three grandchildren; five great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Lakeview Memorial Park (3600 N O. Henry Blvd, Greensboro, NC 27405).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
