She was predeceased by: her parents, Huey Hicks and Ethel Jarvis Hicks; her grandson Steven Brooks Leigh; and her siblings, Steven Hicks of Medina, Ohio, Billy Hicks of Lodi, Ohio, Perry Hicks, Dorothy Horton and Jessie Metheney.
She is survived by: her husband Garland Steven Leigh; her son Richard Garland Leigh, Sr. (Patsy McKown Leigh); her grandchildren, Tracy Carpenter of Spencer, WV, Richard Garland Leigh, Jr. of Columbia, SC and Kristy Leigh of Streetsboro, Ohio; her great grandchild Karena Mae Leigh of Streetsboro, Ohio; her grandchildren, Ryan James Leigh of Columbia, SC, Renton John Leigh of Columbia, SC, Phillip Sheets of Pittsburgh, PA and Gabriel Carpenter of Spencer, WV; and her great great grandchildren, Koralena Mae Horning and Arabella Rose Horning. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc.-Arnoldsburg Chapel (1440 Arnoldsburg Road, Arnoldsburg, WV 25234). A celebration of life was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
