She was predeceased by : her parents, Robert "Rob" Penn and Virginia "Nannie" Scales Penn; her husband Johnny Henry Redd; her son John; her granddaughters, Crystal and Christina Redd; her siblings, Sarah Lou Penn Johnson, James "Ramey" Penn and Roy "Heide" Penn; and her nephews, James "Jimmy" Johnson and Vershawn "Shawn" Penn.
She is survived by : her siblings, Doretha Penn Galloway and William "Pete" Penn; her sister-in-law Regina H. Penn; her close friend Janice Nowlin; and her nieces and nephews, April Galloway, Christie Woodward (Lou), Jessica Jones (Eric), Robert Penn (Angela), Christopher Penn (Ann) and Antonino "Tony" Penn. She is also survived by great nieces, nephews, family and friends.
