He was predeceased by : his parents, Jessie Richard Murphy and Lucy Myrtle Philpott Murphy; and his siblings, Vera Ayers, Katherine Washburn, Mattie Carter, Inez Shockley and Richard Murphy.
He is survived by : his wife Margie Craig Murphy; his sons, Ricky (Tracy Murphy) and Mike (Sandra Murphy); his grandchildren, Caleb Murphy, Lauren Murphy, Kayla Dishon (Nick) and Rachel Murphy; and his great grandchildren, Kate Dishon and Juliette Dishon.
