As we bid Barbara farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Barbara is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Chancellor "Bob" Hester and Callie Hester; and her brothers, Chancellor Hester (Judy) and Lynwood Hester (Diana). She is survived by: her husband Donald Ray Herndon; her daughter Donna Herndon Gaul (Pete) of Fredericksburg, Virginia.; her grandsons, Andrew (Clara) and Phillip (Rachel); and her great grandchild Lucy.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Good Hope Church Cemetery Fund.
