She was predeceased by: her husband Stuart Lee Yates; her son Stuart Duncan Yates; her parents, Hilda Routledge and Eugene Brunelle; and her siblings, Andrew Brunelle and Ann Brunelle.

She is survived by: her daughter Sarah Absher (Matthew); her grandson Charlie; her niece Amanda Kidd (Jason); her mother-in-law Jacqueline Yates; and her sisters-in-law, Deborah Paxton and Mary Ellen Yousefian. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins, along with countless friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Wilderness Community Church in support of its outreach missions.
