He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy McConnell and Thomas McConnell; and his granddaughter Candace Breeden. He is survived by: his wife Sue Judy; his children, Wendy Sorrell, Dale McConnell (Gina), Angel Piontek (Jeremy) and Nikho Rosales; his grandchildren, Jessica Breeden, Kristina Lincoln, Brandyn Sorrell, Brandon McConnell, Sarah McConnell Wales (Micah), Sean McConnell, Reagan "Gwen" Piontek and Sydney Piontek; and his great grandchildren, Kamryne Breeden, Gabriella Breeden, Landon Teets, London Teets, Luca Bowyer and Winter Wales.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Fredericksburg SPCA (https://fredspca.org) in Jerry's memory, in honor of his lifelong love of animals.
