John Daniel leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. John Daniel’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew John Daniel will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Bingham and Ruby Drye Bingham. He is survived by: his wife Carol A. Bingham; his daughter Megan "Meg" Slingerland (Ryan); his granddaughter Ruby; his sister Joan Bingham Clark (Chris); and his nephews, Kevin Clark (Michelle) of Athens, Georgia and Paul Clark of Athens, Georgia. He is also survived by numerous cousins and a large extended family.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Christ Lutheran Church (1300 Augustine Ave, Fredericksburg, VA 22401).
In lieu of floral tributes, the family suggests that memorial contributions be directed to Christ Lutheran Church in his name.
