He is survived by: his wife Karen; his daughters, Stephanie Cairns (Scott) and Kara Cairns (Mark); his grandchildren, Hunter Cairns (Callie Cairns), Lexy Cairns (Mason Christopher), Lyla Cairns and Leah Cairns; his sisters, Susan Lockard and Teresa Carroll (Corky); and his mother Dot Dillard.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Laurel Hill Memorial Park and Funeral Home (10127 Plank Rd, Spotsylvania Courthouse, VA 22553). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the same location. A reception was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
