He is survived by: his daughters, Donna Lockhart (Steve) and Kristal Rust of Spotsylvania; his grandchildren, Emma, Hunter, Corbin and Alyssa; his great grandchildren, Grayson and Gunner; his siblings, Raymond Simms and Pearl Johnson; and his brother-in-law Robert Potts. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
