It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Ray Giles of Spout Spring, Virginia, born in Appomattox, Virginia, who passed away on April 28, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Giles, Jr. Giles and Georgia Hamilton Giles; his daughters, Sandra Velleca (John Goin) of Appomattox and Jenny Lou Martin (Mike) of Appomattox; his grandchildren, Christopher Mayberry, Heather King (Jarred), Rachel Franklin (Josh) and Brandon White (Sommar Moore); his siblings, Wayne M. Giles of Rustburg, Dennis A. "Tic" Giles (Jennifer) of Appomattox and Sue Pulliam (Ernest Hines) of Appomattox; his daughter Dot Fleshman (Gary) of Appomattox; his brother Jack Lee Giles; and his siblings-in-law, Donald Pulliam and Dot Giles. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.
