She was predeceased by: her husband Reverend Ronald J. Nickell, Sr.; her parents, James H. Brown, Sr. and Jennie Agee Brown; and her siblings, Laverne Ledford, James Brown, Jr., Ferris Brown, Earnest Earl Brown, Dorothy "Dodie" Woodward, Raymond Brown and Phyllis Brown.
She is survived by: her sons, Gregory Nickell (Donna) of Forest, Ronald Nickell, Jr. (Patty) of Concord and Gary Nickell (Karen) of Waynesboro; her grandchildren, Christina Sandridge (James), Valerie Pham (Marc), Julie Knowles (Chris), Kimberly Nickell, Tabitha Reagan (Chris), Eric Nickell (Mandi) and Tiffany Nickell (Jason); her great grandchildren, Tyler Sandridge, Nickolas Sandridge, Brady Pham, Ethan Pham, Olivia Pham, Landon Owen, Rylee Nickell, Eli Nickell, Kai Reagan, Charlie Reagan, Chloe Chisholm, Lucas Chisholm, Pearl Chisholm and Alyssa Staton; and her siblings, Teddy Brown of Middletown, Ohio and Imogene B. Kidd of Carlisle, Ohio. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Mt. Ed Baptist Church (1606 Craigs Store Rd, Afton, VA 22920).
