He was predeceased by: his parents, Junius Pierce and Dinah Burrell Pierce; his former wife Gracie Flowers Pierce; his daughter Monica Pierce Wooden; his brothers, Preston, Charlie and Pleasant Pierce; his stepchildren, Glinda Coleman, Leon, Lorenzo and Morris Coleman; his great grandchildren, Baby Zeanna Snead, Jeramyah Pierce and Orlando Monroe, Jr.; his stepgrandsons, Anthony and Shandell Coleman; his stepgreat-grandson Jire Barnes; and his close friend Thelma Coleman.
He is survived by: his children, Diane (Floyd Dodson), Mildred, Jacquelin (Richard Langhorne), Michelle, Harry Pierce, Jr. (Kateleen) and Ronzell Pierce; his stepdaughters, Christine (James Barnes) and Mary; and his brother Franklin Pierce. He is also survived by three grandchildren; forty-seven great grandchildren; twenty great-great grandchildren; ten step grandchildren; twenty-eight step great grandchildren; thirteen step great-great grandchildren.
