He is survived by: his wife Pearl Thompson; his son William Thompson Jr. (Mary) of Spring Grove; his grandsons, Darius of Spring Grove, VA, Christopher of Pennsylvania, PA, William Thompson IV (BeBe) and William Thompson (Joy) of Spring Grove, VA.; his siblings, Melvin Thompson of Surry, VA, Patsy Thomas of Surry County, VA, Shirley Frazier of Surry County, VA and Barbara Thomas of Surry County, VA; and his siblings-in-law, Flossie Bailey of Williamsburg, VA, Rev. Clarenctene Jones of Hopewell, VA, Robert Shaw of Petersburg, VA, Charlie Shaw (Barbara) and Carl Shaw (Ruth) of Spring Grove, VA. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
