He was predeceased by : his parents, Paul R. Castleman and Clara Castleman (Hilliard); his brother Jim Castleman; and his son Mark Castleman. He is survived by : his wife Nilza Castleman (Da Costa); his daughter Valeria Walters (Castleman); his son-in-law Jeffrey Walters; his granddaughters, Isabella Walters and Evangeline Walters; and his brother Ben Castleman.

“I'm sitting here hoping George will understand why I'm writing this . My sorrow has been heavy my heart was broken all my life. Most will never understand the feeling of their father running out on them and their mother abandoning them. You made a life because your response to your responsibilities was to run and leave your wife and kids to fend for themselves. This bourdon you laid upon us the years past and no apology came.”
