With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Hazel Iris Swords of Springfield, Virginia, born in New Albany, Mississippi, who passed away on March 8, 2023 at the age of 86. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Hazel Iris Swords to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her father Frederick Burdette; and her siblings, Joyce Rakestraw, Evelyn Barton, Linda Moss, Parker Andrews and Wade Andrews.

She is survived by : her husband John William Swords (Rusty); her children, Barry Swords (Mary), Cindy Swords and Jennifer Loudermilk (Ronnie); and her sister Hilda Gross. She is also survived by five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, many loving nieces and nephews and her best friend.
