She was predeceased by: her daughter Molly Ann Mitchell; her parents, Friedrich Kern and Luise Kern; and her siblings, Karl Friedrich Kern, Andreas Kern, Wilhelm Kern, Hans Kern, Johanna Enge and Erna Pless.

She is survived by: her husband Gerald Mitchell; and her sister Hannelore Feathers (Billie Wright). She is also survived by "Oma" and "Opa", and six great-grandchildren.
