With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Elizabeth Van Wie of Springfield, Virginia, who passed away on December 25, 2025 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Mary Elizabeth farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Mary Elizabeth is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Jack and Dorothy Frances Van Wie of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin.; her brothers, Bob (Evie), John (Joanne), Bill (Paula) and David; and her brother-in-law Cliff Wolfram.
She is survived by: her sister Elizabeth Ann Wolfram; and her close friend Rosemary O'Connor. She is also survived by three sisters-in-law, 17 Nieces and Nephews, 40 great Nieces and Nephews.
