He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Franklin Israel and Helen Francis Israel (Thomson); his son Jerrold "Jerry" Leroy Israel; his siblings, Gene Israel (Darlene) and Joyce Hicks; and his grandchildren, Rebecca Finnerty and Dustin Reynolds.
He is survived by: his daughter Teri Lynn Israel (Cole); his wife Sallyanne Israel; and his children, Becki Finnerty, Chuck Rose, Cheri Urbaniak, Randy Israel and Darlene Sullivan. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Covenant Funeral Service (10830 Patriot Hwy, Fredericksburg, VA 22408). A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
