He was predeceased by: his wife Darlene Dent Marsh; his parents, William L. Marsh and H. Lorraine Marsh; and his brother William "Bill" L. Marsh II. He is survived by: his daughter Rebecca Faust (Mike) of Hartwood; his grandchildren, Jessica (Mick McKenzie), D. Michael Faust and Parker; his siblings-in-law, Charlene, Jim Knicely of North Carolina and Marcie Marsh of Virginia; his niece Dawn Knicely; his nephews, Billy and Chad Marsh; his cousins, Jimmy Clay, Pat Marsh, Naomi Jarvis and Bob Jarvis; and his friend Linda Musselman.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages expressions of sympathy to be made in the form of gifts to preferred charities in Dave's memory.
