He is survived by: his wife Joyce Maxey Brent; his children, John "Kevin" Brent and Misty Lynn Mesimer (Casey); his granddaughters, Cassie Remaly (Eric) and Donna Mesimer; and his siblings, David Brent and Roberta Skinner. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
