Junior left this world on July 5, 2025 at the age of 97, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth Layton Bearden; and his son Douglas Bearden. He is survived by: his daughter Victoria Bearden Thacker (James); his grandson James Thacker III (Sarah); and his great grandchildren, Hunter Thacker and Aiden Torreyson (Bri).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 8th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Covenant Funeral Service (10830 Patriot Hwy, Fredericksburg, VA 22408). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Covenant Funeral Service - Fredericksburg (10830 Patriot Hwy, Fredericksburg, VA 22408). A burial was held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Oak Hill Cemetery (1902 Plank Rd, Fredericksburg, VA 22401).
