He was predeceased by: his parents, Carol Spriggs of Lucasville, Ohio and Earl Spriggs of Portsmouth, Ohio; his son Shawn Spriggs; and his nephews, Joshua Spriggs and Justin Brooks.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara Spriggs; his children, Ryan Michael Spriggs, Emalee Spriggs, Taylor Campbell (Robert) and Hannah Hill (Austin); and his siblings, Wallace Spriggs (Debbie), Wyatt Spriggs (Kim) and Sally Brooks. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews he loved.

The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Special Olympics or to a charity of your choice in his honor.
