He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie Newton and Dorothy Newton; and his brother Tom Newton. He is survived by: his wife Genevieve Newton; his children, Raymond Newton, Jr. (Wendi), Denise Hardy (Terry) and Michelle Newton; his grandchildren, April Bartosch (Matt), Anna Terrell (Jake), Brooke Lewis (Donovan), Raymond Newton III (Taylor), Autumn Newton and Summer Newton; his great grandchildren, Kian Lewis and Alessi Newton; and his siblings, Diane Newton (Alvin), Lonnie Newton and Sammy Anderson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Community Baptist Church or The Patawomeck Indian Tribe of Virginia.
