He was predeceased by: his parents, Aubrey Cockrill and Olive "Sis" Mills; and his brothers, Tommy Mills and Robey Mills. He is survived by: his wife Sheila Cockrill; his son Russell Lee Cockrill, Jr. (Lisa); his grandchildren, Ryan Edwards and Steven Russell Cockrill; his great grandchildren, Wesley Ray Clift and Layla Raine Edwards; and his brothers, Donald Heflin (Pam) and Mike Cockrill (Gayle). He is also survived by his two grandsons and his great grandson, and his beautiful great granddaughter.

Due to the Covid restrictions there will not be any services at this time.
