She was predeceased by: her parents, Luendia Barbour and Albert Benjamin Barbour of Halifax County, VA; her husband Alexander Smith; her daughter Loraine Rene Clemons; her siblings, Mary Alice Wicks, Wilma Ella Barbour and Jimmy Lee Barbour; and her siblings-in-law, Daniel E. Wicks, William A. Carr, Monroe Barksdale, Lawerence Robinson, Oscar S. Smith, Alonzo Franklin Smith, Lawerence Stubbs, Sarah Ann Dennis, Ethel Virginia Smith and Mable Elizabeth Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Alexander Smith Jr., Albert J. Smith and Rita Bernette Smith; her grandchildren, Alexis Kamil Clemons (Steven Johnson) and Kori Tezelle Miller; her great grandchild Nickolaus Albert Johnson; her sisters, Louise Carr and Bettie Ire Barksdale; and her siblings-in-law, Elton Dennis, Andrew Leroy Smith, Claudette Dozier Barbour and Yasmin S. Robinson. She is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.
