He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Armstrong and James Armstrong; and his sisters, Ruth Pearson, Gladys Armstrong, Ellen Grainger and Katherine Presti.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Armstrong; his children, William Armstrong, Jr., Donna Irwin (Ken) and Tony Armstrong (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Brenna, Devin, Shawn (Emily), Tracy (Will), Makenna, Kailey, Avery, Jayden, Kenadie, Jax, Landon, Preston, Ethan, Jenna and Braxton; and his siblings, Grace Pearson, Lola Cheek and James Armstrong.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Heart Association, National Kidney Foundation, or Ramoth Baptist Church.
