He is survived by: his children, Darlene Griffis, Denise Martin (Jim) and Mark Griffis (Teressa); his grandchildren, Amy Schaap, Christine Smith, Emily Vargo, Jordan Taylor, Amanda Taylor and Alexa Taylor; and his great grandchildren, Kaeden, Kylee, Kendyl, Kowen, Colton, Cayson and Sora.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Covenant Funeral Service - Fredericksburg (10830 Patriot Hwy, Fredericksburg, VA 22408). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Sunset Memorial Gardens (3702 Loren Dr, Fredericksburg, VA 22408).
