We announce the death of Frank William Vitous of Stanardsville, Virginia, born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 1, 2026, at the age of 80. Frank will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Vitous and Henrietta Vitous; and his sister Bev McKenna. He is survived by: his wife Charlene Vitous; his children, Sandy Karp (Jeremy), Frank Vitous, Jr. (Dana) and Jessie Powell (Jono); his grandchildren, Hope, Ben, Evan, Audrey, Isabella, Savannah, Luna and Crew; his great grandchildren, Bryn and Kennedy; and his brothers, Clay Hartman, Billy Vitous and Robert Vitous. He is also survived by family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Frank's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
