It is with sadness that the passing of Barbara DePriest Johnson of Staunton, Virginia is shared. Barbara, born on March 31, 1937, passed away on October 22, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Helen DePriest and Robert DePriest; her siblings, Shirley Bell, Dee Forte, Robin Worsky, Robert "Bob" DePriest, Glen DePriest, Tom DePriest, Frank DePriest and Scott DePriest; and her former spouses, Theron T. "Spritz" Benson and Glenard "Ray" Johnson.
She is survived by: her daughter Amy Ettinger (Matthew) of North Chesterfield, VA; her grandchildren, Hannah Ettinger of Midlothian, VA and Brady Ettinger of North Chesterfield, VA; her sisters, Janet Schwenke of Orland Park, IL and Judith DePriest of Arlington, VA; and her brother-in-law George Gilmore of Arlington, VA. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 11th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory (230 Frontier Dr, Staunton, VA 24401).
