With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Betty R. Hammer of Staunton, Virginia, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Haskel Cleveland and Mary Aline Doyle Robertson; and her siblings, Burnett Cleveland, Kenneth Derlin, Larry, Donald Robertson, Pluma Louise Robertson Wilkerson, Beatrice Clara Robertson Welcher and Stella Mae Robertson Glover.
She is survived by: her children, Sheila Kay Hammer Sensabaugh (Rodney, Jr.), Timothy Scott Hammer (Belinda) and Debbie Walker; her sister Lina Robertson Harper; her granddaughters, Ashley Hammer and Brooklyn Kennedy; and her great grandchild Cora Jane Polk.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, May 18th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Augusta Memorial Park (1775 Old Goose Crk Rd, Waynesboro, VA 22980).
