He is survived by: his wife Jean Botkin Helmick; his children, Boyd "Cleve" Cleveland Helmick, Jr. (Tina) and Sharon Helmick; his granddaughter Madeleine "Maddie" Grace Helmick; his sisters, Dorothy "Dot" Lee Helmick Jackson and Carolyn Ann Helmick Gilmer; and his sister-in-law Peggy Botkin.
