Scott Downs (Annette) of Chester and Rita Kay Dietz of Fishersville; her sisters, Linda Armstrong and Kitty Welcher of Staunton; her grandchildren, Timothy C. Downs (Christine) of Lovettsville, Anthony Carpenter (Stephanie) of Amelia Courthouse, Christina Carpenter of Chester, Justin Downs (Abby) of Staunton, Mitchell Pritt and Kara Robertson of Crimora; her great grandchildren, Jaytin R. Smith of Chester, Elijah D. Downs and Pauline Downs of Lovettsville; her friend Chuck Almond; and also Lynn of Leesburg, Fla..

A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Bear Funeral Home (14 Green Hill Ln, Churchville, VA 24421).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Jude's Childrens' Research Hospital, or to the Staunton Augusta Rescue Squad.
