He was predeceased by: his parents, George Henry and Bessie Fields Black Knopp; his wife Orene Brown Knopp; and his siblings, Paul Black, Mark Lytton, James Maurice, Hiram Morris, Joseph Philip, Alice Rebecca Knopp Phillippe, Elizabeth Virginia Knopp Rodgers and Rhoda Joy Knopp Mayes.
He is survived by: his daughter Dana Lynn Knopp Krusz (Kary) of Staunton; his sister Anna Ruth Knopp Rathburn of Staunton; his granddaughter Elizabeth Blair Gordon (Lucas); his great grandchildren, Annie and Braxton of Richmond; his grandson Brandon Wesley Krusz (Joy); and his great grandchildren, Ethan, Adalyn and Rebekah Hull (Silas James) of Staunton.
In lieu of flowers, it is suggested that those desiring may make memorial contributions to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital (501 Saint Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105).
