He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Alexander, Sr. and Marjorie Carmen Patterson Cullen; his wife Susan Jane Loughhead Cullen; his grandson David Elliott Cullen, III; his great grandchild Myles Lee Cahoon; and his siblings, Lewis Alexander Cullen, Jr., William "Butch" Cullen, Marjorie "Babe" Louise Cullen Armentrout and Julie Mae Cullen Patterson.

He is survived by: his children, David Elliott Cullen, Jr. (Natalie) and Kim Cullen Cahoon (Lee); his grandchildren, Zachary Cullen (Ashley), Alexander Cullen (Megan), Wendy Dudding (Matt), Christopher Cahoon (Kayla) and Kevin Cahoon (Kathryn); his great grandchildren, Ariya, Brantley, Tucker Cullen, Carrigan, Brea, Cade, Saige, Nathaniel and Calvin Cahoon; and his close friend Jean Patton.
