It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emma M. Carpenter of Staunton, Virginia, who passed away on April 24, 2024, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Frank Crist, Sr. and Clara Margaret Yago Moran; her husband Stanley Harper Carpenter; and her siblings, Frank Crist Moran, Jr., Howard Marshall Moran, Sr., Hunter Garland Moran, William Thomas Moran, Sr., Harold Wilson Moran, Sr., Julia Frances Moran Fitzgerald, Doris Lee Moran Campbell and Jo Ellen Moran Hollis.

She is survived by : her children, Michael Lynn Carpenter (Pamela) and Margaret Lee Carpenter Kincaid (John); her grandsons, Steven Kincaid (Fannie) and Jeffery Kincaid (Tina); and her great grandchildren, Abigal, Allison, Boone Kincaid, Brittany Godwin and Jessica Falkner. She is also survived by three great-great-grandchildren.

A graveside service was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens (1921 Shutterlee Mill Rd, Staunton, VA 24401).
