Franklin B. Fridley Obituary
We bid farewell to Franklin B. Fridley (Staunton, Virginia), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 20, 2025 at the age of 79. Franklin touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. In the vast expanse of eternity, Franklin shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Franklin farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his mother Dorothy Louise Fridley-Zimbo; and his brother Wendell Mitchell Zimbro. He is survived by: his wife Diane Lynn Fridley; his brothers, Rockie Austin Zimbro and B. Ronald Fridley "Sugar" (Ruby); his stepchildren, Christy Bottenfield and Joseph Fitzgerald (Whitney); his grandchildren, Dacardi and Christal "Babygirl" Fomby; his stepchildren, Jayden, Aubrey and Avery Fitzgerald; and his brother-in-law Earl "The Pearl" Mawyer. He is also survived by numerous other brothers-in-law, a sister-in-law; and his four children.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Oaklawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens (1921 Shutterlee Mill Rd, Staunton, VA 24401).
