With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Franklin Joseph Marks Jr. of Staunton, Virginia, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. As Franklin departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Franklin may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Franklin leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin Joseph Marks, Sr. and Helen Mae Marks (Linthicum). He is survived by: his wife Judith Ann Marks; his daughter Bonnie Gross (Brian) of Wyomissing, Pennsylvania; his grandchildren, Madison Mahlendorf-Innamorato, Sabrina Gross, Sarah Patchel and Nathan Gross; and his sister Joyce Robinson of Douglassville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the St. Paul’s Church (2000 Shutterlee Mill Rd, Staunton, VA 24401). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
