He was predeceased by: his parents, John Meade Swecker, Sr. and Gladys Swecker (Mullenax); and his siblings, John Meade "June" Swecker, Jr., Randolph W. Swecker, Richard Calvin "Dick" Swecker, Charlotte Louise "Chock" Arbogast, Edith Virginia Swecker and Josephine Ann "Jo Ann" Swecker (Robert "Shrimp).
He is survived by: his son Carey Walter Swecker (Robin) of Verona; his sister Donna Blank (Gerald) of Harrisonburg; his grandchildren, Jacob M. Swecker (Kelsey) and Rian P. Swecker; and his stepgranddaughters, Heather Vivian and Erin Harris.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Calvary United Methodist Church (2179 Stuarts Draft Hwy, Stuarts Draft, VA 24477).
