He was predeceased by: his parents, Norbert Henry and Laura Francis Moyer Bares; his brother Earl V. Bares; and his sister-in-law Elaine Bares. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Nancy Knopp Bares; and his brothers, William Anthony Bares (Collene) of Fargo, Lawrence "Larry" Joseph Bares of Dickinson and Richard Hugo Bares (Peggy) of Grand Forks. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
