He is survived by: his wife Belinda Diana Barker Messer; his children, Amy Lynn Herman (Ted) of Staunton and Adam R. Messer (Jacquline Harper) of Staunton; his grandsons, Bishop Drake Frye and Jacob Cage Frye; and his great grandchildren, Hayden and Evelynn Frye.
