She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph W. Perdue and Alice Perdue (Townsend); her son John Edward Eavey; her siblings, Harold, Donald Perdue, Elsie Minnich, Agnes Woolwine and Marie Owen; and her husband Horton, Jr..
She is survived by: her son Kenneth Eavey (Katherine) of Waynesboro; her daughter-in-law Suzanne Eavey of Chesapeake; and her grandchildren, Megan Neeley (Phillip), Zachary Eavey (Emily), Brian Eavey (Alison) and Jared Eavey (Hannah). She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Deep Creek Baptist Church (250 Mill Creek Pkwy, Chesapeake, VA 23323).
