Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Phyllis Ann (Wright) Powell of Staunton, Virginia, born in Letcher, Kentucky, who passed away at the age of 87, on October 26, 2020. She was predeceased by: her husband Richard Milton "Rooster" Powell of Staunton; her parents, Forester A., Sr. and Alka Bernise Wright (Greer); her sister Shirley McKee; and her daughter-in-law Beverly Powell (Niess).

She is survived by: her sons, Rick M. Powell (Lynette) of Verona, Randy Powell (Shelley) of Staunton and Rob Powell of Mt. Solon; her brother Forester A. Wright, Jr. of Staunton; and her grandchildren, Broc, Chad, Jamee, Jessica, Sean and Samantha Powell. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be conducted 6:00 p. m. Friday, October 30, 2020 in Linden Heights Baptist Church by Pastor Luke B. Smith. (Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic all current guidelines and restrictions will be followed.) Coffman Funeral Burial will be private in Thornrose Cemetery.
