He was predeceased by: his parents, Carson L. Manning and Ethel Marie Hardin Manning; his wife Jean Delores Wilson Manning; his daughter Jean Elizabeth Manning Spath; and his siblings, Carson L. Manning, Jr., Charles Ray Manning, Thomas Edward Manning and Lois Faye Manning.

He is survived by: his daughters, Catherine Lynn Manning, Debra Kaye Manning McFarland (Todd) and Joanna Lea Manning Bell; his grandchildren, Brian Blake (Brittany), Amanda Blake, Jackson Bell, Nicholas Bell, Nathaniel Bradley, Doug Bradley (Lauren) and Amy Shelley (Brad); and his sister Doris Manning Harvey (George). He is also survived by great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Henry Funeral Home (1030 W Beverley St, Staunton, VA 24401). A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
