It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Junior Strickler of Staunton, Virginia, who passed away on December 7, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Robert departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Robert may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Robert leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Preston Strickler and Lillie Strickler (Kellison); and his siblings, Kathleen Hogshead, Elizabeth Farmer, Lee Strickler, Rev. William Strickler and Marvin Strickler.
He is survived by: his son Robert Lee Strickler; his grandson Robert Lee Strickler, Jr.; his sister Emma Jean Tew; and his niece Joanna Grimm (Peter). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Johnson Funeral Service Inc-BRIDGEWATER LOCATION (208 S Main St, Bridgewater, VA 22812). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Beaver Creek Cemetery (208 S Main St, Bridgewater, VA 22812).
