She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Preston; her parents, Harry Wallace Woods and Mamie Elizabeth Woods (Benson); and her siblings, Tommy Woods, Elizabeth Ann Puffenbarger (Woods) and Nellie "Jo" Howdyshell (Woods).
She is survived by: her sons, Jeffrey Preston Thorne (Lynne) of Staunton and Michael Lynn Thorne (Ashley) of Staunton; her siblings, Paul Woods (Melissa) of Staunton and Betty Carpenter (Woods) of Churchville; her sisters-in-law, Sylvia Shirey and Rosa Bosserman (Ray); her grandchildren, Drake M. Thorne and Kathryn Elizabeth Thorne; her great grandchild Mallory Thorne; her stepgrandchildren, Kevin Ooten, Alivia Jemerison, Jaxston Jemerison and Stephanie Gomez; and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Joseph Valente and Chelsea Valente.
