He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Renee Mays Gilmer; his son Travis Andrew Gilmer (Tracie); his brother Dennis Wayne Gilmer (Penny); his stepchildren, Justin, Chad Bagby and Charlie Kelly; his nephew Jeremiah; his nieces, Hannah Gilmer and Megan Smith (James); his grandchildren, Ace Tyler, Kaisen Keith Bagby, Trevor Logan, Tyler Lee and Tanner Luke Gilmer; his cousins, Donald Roby (Gaynell) and Josh Roby (Ashley); his sister-in-law Roxanna Dove; his aunt Nancy Williams; his brothers-in-law, David, John and Chris Mays; Benton, Berkley, Nathan Roby (Katie), Parker and Weston.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Henry Funeral Home (1030 W Beverley St, Staunton, VA 24401).
