She was predeceased by : her father Dr. Hugh Francis Hicks. She is survived by : her children, Courtenay Smith of Winchester and Brian Smith (Candice) of New York, N. Y.; her sister Frances Apollony (William) of Baltimore; her niece Karen Apollony of Baltimore; and her nephew Andrew Apollony of Cockeysville.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mitchell - Wiedefeld Funeral Home, Inc. (6500 York Rd, Baltimore, MD 21212). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the St. David's Episcopal Church (4700 Roland Ave, Baltimore, MD 21210). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 10th 2024 at 7:30 PM at the Christ Episcopal Church (809 Bishop Meade Rd, Boyce, VA 22646).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the International Myeloma Foundation, or to BARCS.
