She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Patterson and Anna Virginia Windle Patterson; her husband Robert "Bobby" Mason Florence; her brother Howard Patterson; and her great grandchild Wesley Burkhammer.
She is survived by: her children, Sharon Herndon (Scotty) of Berryville, VA, Lynne LaRue (Joey) of Stephens City, VA, Darlene Coffelt (Zane) of Fort Valley, VA, Brian Wiles (Diane) of Woodstock, VA and Timothy Wiles (Melissa) of Toms Brook, VA; and her sister Lee Stewart of Marshall, VA. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
